Serious Outrageous Science Days: Science days are focused on creating a level of excitement and energy around science, as well as a sense that science both applies to each child’s everyday life and is easily understandable.  Your room mom will help the teacher coordinate items to bring in or help needed to set up for Science Day.

 

Track and Field Day: School-wide event where classes compete against each other in classic “Field Day” Games.  Each class will bring a tent, snacks and waters for their Track and Field time.  Room moms coordinate!

 

Book Fair - Our library has a book fair twice a year where proceeds benefit our library. We need parents to help setting up and run. Click here for more information!

 

Character Counts Program -  (For Grades Kinder - 2nd only) Mission: to educate all children in character development and give them a moral compass in which to help them make decisions that bring out the BEST. PTO parents are the liaison between Ms. Myers' guidance/character building lessons and the teacher, and students. Vision and Hearing Screening -  Nurse Susie needs help conducting our annual Vision and Hearing screening - typically held in the Fall semester prior to the Holidays. Volunteers in the past have helped from an hour or two up to half a day or all day. Any time you offer will be greatly appreciated.

 

Gardening/Outdoor Classroom -Do you love the outdoors? Do you have (or want) a green thumb? We need parents who have a eye for outdoor spaces to help us keep our school beautiful.

 

Teacher Appreciation - Throughout the year our teacher appreciation committee shows our hard working teachers appreciation thru mailbox goodies, coffee carts, snack carts, holiday luncheon, and then of course we go ALL out for teacher appreciation week. We need help! Sign up with us once or every event. We would love your help!

 

Family Bingo Night - this December, join us for Lakeway Elementary's first Bingo Night on 12/1.  It's family fun for all!  

 

Talent Show - a time to show your talent. Open to all grade levels. Our show is 3/2/18.  Learn more here.

 

Father/Daughter Dance - a sweet new tradition started in 2016 where we celebrate Dads and daughters. The dance this year is on 2/9/18.  Learn more.
